Washer
Flat Washers
A flat annulus or ring, often of metal, is used to spread the load of a screwed fastening. Additionally, a flat washer may be used when the hole is a larger diameter than the fixing nut
Spring Washers
The nylon washer is located at the top of the nut. The inner diameter (ID) of the nylon insert is slightly smaller than the main diameter of the screw. When you tighten the nut, the nylon elastically deforms on the threads. The resulting friction locks the nut onto the screw, preventing it from loosening due to vibration or other forces.
Nord Lock Washer
Nord-Lock created the original wedge-locking technology that secures bolted joints, even when exposed to severe vibration and dynamic loads.
Nylon Washer
Nylon washers are made from nylon plastic, which offers unique characteristics ideal for creating washers. Different types of nylon can be used, including nylon 6, nylon 6/6, nylon MDS, and Nylatron®. Nylon 6 is known for its high strength, while nylon 6/6 is excellent for chemical and electrical applications due to its strength and resistance to temperature extremes.
